I should have guessed.
What on Earth would my food-loving son's first words be? Mama? Of course not... Dada? Again, not food. These are the people who bring him food, so yes they would be his second words spoken. No, no. "Na na!" Was his first word. This is not food, Court, you say? Well it is to us! Big sister used to say na na when she was a baby for nursing. Since this was a convenient, somewhat private term for a not-so-private thing we used it proficiently, and baby brother only heard that term. I had thought this would be his first word. It was either na na or FOOD! He seems to do everything in twos so the next night he said "Da da!" I think he chose that parent because he knows daddy is a softy when it comes to bed time and he was being oh-so-cute in grabbing his little toes and giggling up at us. Mama would of let him cry all night. Well. Ten minutes at least.
